SE UN VOLUNTARIO !!

Education in Tanzania.

This program offers you the chance to teach at a preschool for kids aged 3 to 7. Right now, the school has over 75 children. Out of these, 13 are orphans living in an orphanage.

The kids who attend the school come from different backgrounds and situations: some come from broken families, some are living in extreme poverty, and others have even been abandoned. The school is small and is run by Gasper John, who is also in charge of the orphanage. They also have 4 teachers to provide lessons.

About the project:

What is offered ?

At school we offer them a bilingual education (Swahili and English), since we consider that learning English from an early age is very important so that they have better opportunities in the future.

Swahili.

In Tanzania, primary education is given in Swahili and also in English, if you go to a private school. However, Secondary School is entirely in English, so at Joyland we try to teach them English from childhood so that they have basic knowledge of the language. At school, boys and girls are also provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

WATER.

They also have complete freedom to drink from the clean water tank in the orphanage, since many of them will not have that privilege at home.

*For this program you need to have a sufficient level of English to be able to teach and help boys and girls learn it.
